“육신의 생각은 사망이요 영의 생각은 생명과 평안이니라” (롬 8:6)
우리의 영혼 구원 사역에서 가장 중요한 것은 당신의 영, 즉 속사람을 강화하고 발전시키는 것입니다. 속사람이 거듭난 진짜 “당신”입니다. 우리가 그리스도 안에 있는 구원에 대해 말할 때, 우리는 영의 구원을 말하는 것입니다. 그리고 구원이 나타나기 위해서는 영적인 것들을 인식해야 합니다.
영적 의식은 영적 성장에 필수적입니다. 당신이 영적으로 생각할 때, 삶을 말씀의 관점에서 해석합니다. 당신은 자신이 이 세상에 속하지 않았음을 이해합니다. 당신은 영적인 영역에서 기능하도록 하나님께 부름 받은 영적인 존재입니다. 그리스도인의 삶에 관한 모든 것은 이러한 의식에서 시작됩니다.
예를 들어, 영혼 구원이라는 표현 자체는 영적으로 정확합니다. “사람 구원”이라고 하지 않습니다. 당신은 그 사람의 속사람, 즉 혼과 영에 다가가는 것입니다. 이는 당신이 사역하는 사람들이 영적인 존재라는 사실을 인식해야 한다는 뜻입니다. 이런 의식이 당신이 다른 사람들을 어떻게 보는지, 삶의 문제들을 어떻게 다루는지 결정합니다. 당신은 모든 것을 영적인 관점에서 평가합니다.
바로 이것이 예수님의 사역을 그 당시 종교 지도자들과 다르게 만들었습니다. 예수님은 영적인 사역을 하셨습니다. 하나님께 감사드립니다! 우리는 성령으로 거듭났고 성령 안에서 살도록 부름 받았습니다. 영혼 구원자로서 이것이 당신이 살아야 할 삶입니다. 세상에 있는 어떤 책도 성경처럼 인간의 영과 생명의 실재를 드러내지 못합니다. 그러므로 성경을 탐구하십시오. 말씀은 당신을 모든 상황에서 날마다 승리하도록 인도합니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 말씀을 통해 내 영에 빛을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 속사람으로부터 기능하고 성령으로 말미암아 삶을 해석합니다. 나는 그리스도 안에 있는 내가 누구인지 인식하며 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE SPIRITUAL
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).
In our soul-winning efforts, a vital requirement is the strengthening and development of your human spirit, the inward man. That’s the real “you” that was born again. When we speak of salvation in Christ, we’re referring to the salvation of the spirit. And for that salvation to express itself, you must become conscious of spiritual things.
Spiritual consciousness is essential for spiritual growth. When you’re spiritually minded, you interpret life from the perspective of the Word. You understand that you’re not of this world. You’re a spirit being, called by God to function from the spirit-realm. Everything about the Christian life starts from this awareness.
Take soul-winning, for example, the expression itself, soul winning, is spiritually precise. It doesn’t say “people winning”; you’re reaching for the inner man of that person—the soul, the spirit. That means you must be conscious that those you’re ministering to are spirit beings too. This consciousness shapes how you see others and how you handle life’s issues; you evaluate everything from the spiritual.
This is what made Jesus’ ministry so different from the religious leaders of His day. He brought a spiritual ministry. And thanks be unto God! We’re born of the Spirit and called to live in the Spirit. As a soul winner, this is your arena. No book in the world reveals the realities of the human spirit and life like the Bible. So study the Scriptures voraciously; the Word is your guide to living victoriously every day in every situation.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for enlightening my spirit through your Word. I function from the inward man and interpret life through the Spirit. I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
