의인의 지혜
The Wisdom Of The Righteous
“그는 엘리야의 영과 능력을 가지고 주 앞에 앞서 가서 ‘아비들의 마음을 자식들에게로, 불순종한 자들을 의인들의 지혜로 돌아오게 하며, 주를 위하여 마련해 놓은 백성을 예비시키리라.’고 하더라.”(눅 1:17, 한글 킹제임스)
오늘의 본문 구절에 등장하는 “불순종한”이라는 단어에 주목하십시오. 이는 순종하지 않는 것을 뜻합니다. 이는 원어인 그리스어의 의미입니다. 이는 설득될 수 없는 사람, 고집이 세고 의도적으로 잘못된 방향으로 가는 것을 선택하는 사람을 뜻합니다. 그런 사람들이 있습니다.
이러한 사람들은 진리를 알면서도 굴복하지 않습니다. 그들은 하나님의 말씀에 복종하지 않습니다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀은 하나님의 지혜입니다. 따라서 성경은 그들의 마음이 의인의 지혜로 돌아와야 한다고 말합니다. 이는 의인의 지혜가 말씀에 복종하는 것임을 의미합니다. 의인의 지혜는 설득될 수 있습니다.
구약에서 이스라엘 백성에 대해 성경이 말하는 바를 기억해 보십시오. 그들은 설득되지 않는 마음 때문에 하나님의 안식에 들어갈 수 없었습니다. 그러나 의인의 지혜는 하나님의 말씀에 쉽게 설득됩니다. 의인의 지혜는 말씀을 기꺼이 그리고 기쁘게 받아들입니다. 의인의 지혜는 말씀을 근거로 빠르게 조정합니다.
하나님은 불순종하는 자들의 마음이 의인의 지혜로 돌아오기를 원하십니다. 이것을 “프로네시스(phronesis)”라고 부릅니다. 이는 가장 높은 수준의 지혜입니다. 당신이 말씀에 감동되고, 말씀이 당신의 삶과 모든 결정을 내리도록 할 때 나타나는 지혜입니다. 어떤 일이 어떻게 보이든 상관없습니다. 당신은 오직 말씀이 말하는 바를 따릅니다. 당신은 말씀에 일치하여 살아갑니다. 이것이 의인의 지혜입니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 역사하는 의인의 지혜에 감사드립니다. 내 마음은 항상 하나님의 말씀에 열려 있고 반응합니다. 나는 진리에 설득되고 하나님의 사랑으로 다스려집니다. 하나님의 지혜는 내가 의의 길을 걷고 하나님의 완전한 뜻에 일치하며 살도록 나를 이끕니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE WISDOM OF THE RIGHTEOUS
“And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Luke 1:17).
Notice the word “disobedient” in the verse above; it refers to the negative of being obedient. That’s the original Greek connotation. It means one who can’t be persuaded, one who is headstrong and deliberately chooses to go in the wrong direction, and there’re people like that in life.
Such people are unyielding even when they know the truth. They don’t submit to the Word of God and the Word of God is the wisdom of God. So, the Bible says their hearts have to be turned to the wisdom of the just. Which means the wisdom of the just is yielding to the Word. The wisdom of the just is persuadable.
Recall what the Bible says about the children of Israel in the Old Testament: they couldn’t enter into God’s rest because of their unpersuadableness. But the wisdom of the just is easily convinced by the Word of God; it willingly and gladly accepts the Word. It’s quick to make adjustments on the basis of the Word.
God wants the hearts of the disobedient to be turned to the wisdom of the just. It’s called “phronesis” (Greek). That’s the highest kind of wisdom; when you’re swayed by the Word and allow it to shape your life and every decision you make. It doesn’t matter how something appears; you only go with what the Word says. You’re living in conformity to the Word. That’s the wisdom of the just. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom of the just that works in me. My heart is ever open and responsive to your Word. I’m persuaded by your truth and governed by your love. Your wisdom propels me to walk in the paths of righteousness and live daily in alignment with your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
