“그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라 이것이 우리 구주 하나님 앞에 선하고 받으실 만한 것이니 하나님은 모든 사람이 구원을 받으며 진리를 아는 데에 이르기를 원하시느니라”(딤전 2:1-4)
우리 사회에서 모든 경건과 정직함 가운데 평안과 번영을 누리기 위해 하나님의 말씀은 우리가 무엇을 해야 하는지 보여줍니다. 우리는 오늘의 본문 구절에서 말한 대로 기도해야 합니다. 그렇게 할 때 우리는 지도자들, 기관의 장들, 권세 있는 위치에 있는 사람들의 구원을 보게 될 것입니다.
결국 그 나라는 번영과 평화로 번영할 것입니다. 최고의 전략가이신 성령님은 이러한 방향으로 어떻게 영향을 미칠지 정확히 알고 계십니다. 성령님은 지도자들에게 어떻게 확신을 주고, 그들을 왕국으로 데려와서, 그들로 하여금 바른 일을 하게 할지 알고 계십니다. 당신의 도시, 기관, 대통령과 내각, 주지사, 입법자, 위원, 대법관, 판사 등을 위해 중보할 때 일어날 영향을 상상해 보십시오. 그것은 하나님의 계획이기 때문에 큰 수확을 거둘 것입니다.
누구도 당신에게 우리가 열방을 위해 너무 많이 기도하고 있다고 설득하지 못하게 하십시오. 우리의 기도는 운명을 만들고 하나님의 뜻을 이루고 있습니다. 이것은 조용하고 평화로운 삶을 위한 하나님의 청사진이며, 우연이나 정치 개혁으로 이루어지는 것이 아니라 진리를 믿고 아는 그리스도인들의 의도적인 기도로 이루어집니다.
따라서 중보의 자리에 서십시오. 복음이 흥왕하고 하나님의 뜻이 사람들의 마음에 세워질 때, 당신의 도시가 하나님의 의, 평안, 번영이 스며드는 통로가 되게 하십시오. 할렐루야!

사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 효과적으로 기도하는 방법을 알려주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 기도로 나의 자리를 지키며 모든 사람, 지도자, 권세 있는 자들을 위해 중보합니다. 그들이 구원을 받고 진리의 지식에 이르도록 기도합니다. 나는 복음이 열방 가운데 자유롭게 전파되며 사람들의 마음이 의로 돌아오도록 선포합니다. 위대한 영혼의 추수에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE BLUEPRINT FOR A QUIET AND PEACEABLE LIFE
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
For us to enjoy peace and prosperity in all godliness and honesty in our societies, the Word of God shows us what to do. We must pray as outlined for us in our opening scripture above. When we do, we will witness the salvation of leaders, heads of institutions, and those in positions of authority.
Consequently, the nation will flourish with prosperity and peace. The Holy Spirit, the Chief Strategist, knows exactly how to influence things along these lines. He knows how to convict the leaders, bring them into the Kingdom and cause them to do the right things. Imagine the impact when you intercede for your city, for institutions, the president and his cabinet members, state governors, legislators, commissioners, justices of the Supreme Court, judges, etc. It’ll result in a great harvest because it’s God’s plan.
Don’t let anyone convince you that we’re praying too much for the nations. Our prayers are shaping destinies and bringing God’s will to pass. This is God’s blueprint for a quiet and peaceable life, not one achieved by chance or political reforms, but by the deliberate prayers of Christians who believe and know the truth.
So, take your place in intercession. Become the channel for God’s righteousness, peace, and prosperity to permeate your city as the Gospel thrives and the will of God is established in the hearts of men. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for showing me how to pray effectively. I take my place in prayer, interceding for all men, for leaders and those in authority, that they may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. I declare that the Gospel has free course in the nations, and the hearts of men are turned to righteousness. Thank you for the great harvest of souls, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
