Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit
“내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 사람의 모든 죄와 모든 모독하는 일은 사하심을 얻되 누구든지 성령을 모독하는 자는 영원히 사하심을 얻지 못하고 영원한 죄가 되느니라 하시니”(막 3:28-29)
어떤 사람들은 “하나님은 사랑이시고 우리의 모든 죄를 용서하십니다. 그런데 어떻게 하나님은 성령님을 거스르는 자는 결코 용서받지 못한다고 말씀하십니까?”라고 질문합니다.
먼저, 주 예수님께서 이 경고를 유대인들에게 하셨다는 것을 이해하십시오. 그들은 언약과 율법을 받은 사람들이었습니다. 하나님의 영이 그들에게 나타났고, 그들은 구약 전체에 걸쳐 하나님의 사역을 보았습니다. 그들은 창조에 있어서 성령님의 역할, 창세기에서 그분이 물 위에 어떻게 운행하셨는지, 하늘을 어떻게 꾸미셨는지 알고 있었습니다.
그러나 이러한 지식에도 불구하고, 그들은 예수님이 성령의 능력으로 기적을 행하시는 것을 보고도 예수님을 귀신의 왕 바알세불의 힘으로 일하고 있다고 비난했습니다. 따라서 주님은 그들에게 성령을 모독하는 것은 용서받지 못할 것이라고 경고하셨습니다. 성령님은 사람을 구원으로 인도하시고, 세상을 죄와 의와 심판에 대하여 책망하시고, 하나님의 백성을 모든 진리 가운데로 가르치시고 인도하시는 분이기 때문입니다.
성령님 없이는 아무도 하나님께 나아갈 수 없고, 그분을 믿을 수 없습니다. 따라서, 만일 누군가가 성령님을 모독한다면, 그들은 하나님의 일들로 인도하고 이끄시는 분을 거절하는 것입니다.
성령을 모독하는 것은 하나님의 말씀과 성령에 관한 깊은 지식을 요구합니다. 성령을 대적하는 죄를 짓기 위해서는 성령이 누구신지 아는 사람이 필요합니다. 그래서 진정한 그리스도인이 성령을 대적하는 죄를 짓는 경우는 드뭅니다. 이는 은혜의 영을 의도적으로 경멸하는 것이기 때문에 매우 드뭅니다.
히브리서 10:28-29은 이에 대해 더 설명합니다. “모세의 법을 폐한 자도 두세 증인으로 말미암아 불쌍히 여김을 받지 못하고 죽었거든 하물며 하나님의 아들을 짓밟고 자기를 거룩하게 한 언약의 피를 부정한 것으로 여기고 은혜의 성령을 욕되게 하는 자가 당연히 받을 형벌은 얼마나 더 무겁겠느냐 너희는 생각하라” 이 구절은 진리에 대한 온전한 지식을 가지고도 진리의 성령을 멸시하고 비방하기로 선택한 자에 대해 말합니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 책망하시고, 가르치시고, 모든 진리 가운데로 인도하시는 귀한 성령님께 감사드립니다. 나는 내 삶과 전 세계에서 성령님의 사역을 인정하고 존중하며, 그분의 인도와 축복에 나 자신을 온전히 내어드립니다. 나는 지혜와 명철 가운데 행하며, 하나님의 말씀을 아는 지식 안에서 지속적으로 성장합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation” (Mark 3:28-29).
Some have asked, “God is love, and He forgives all our sins, how come He says anyone who sins against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven?”
First, understand that the Lord Jesus addressed this warning to the Jews; they were the ones to whom the covenants and the Law were given. The Spirit of God had been revealed to them, and they had seen His works throughout the Old Testament. They were aware of the Holy Spirit’s role in creation, how He moved upon the waters in Genesis, and how He garnished the heavens.
But despite this knowledge, when they saw Jesus perform miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit, they accused Him of working by the power of Beelzebub. Therefore, the Master warned them that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would not be forgiven. The Holy Spirit is the one who leads a person into salvation, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, judgment, and teaches and guides God’s people into all truth.
Without the Holy Spirit, no one can come to God or believe in Him. Therefore, if someone blasphemes the Holy Spirit, they reject the very One who is meant to guide and lead them in the things of God.
To blaspheme the Holy Spirit requires a deep knowledge of God’s Word and the things of the Spirit. It takes someone who knows who the Holy Spirit is to sin against the Holy Spirit. That’s why it’s rare to find someone who’s been a true Christian sin against the Holy Spirit. It’s very rare because to do that is to intentionally disdain the Spirit of Grace.
The Bible explains this further in Hebrews 10:28-29: “He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” It further shows that it’s not just any person who can do this but one with full knowledge of the truth, yet chooses to despise and disparage the Spirit of Truth.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the precious Holy Spirit who convicts, teaches, and guides me into all truth. I acknowledge and honour His work in my life and around the world, yielding myself fully to His guidance and blessings. I walk in wisdom and understanding, continually growing in the knowledge of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
