당신 안에 나타난 말씀

“이에 숨은 부끄러움의 일을 버리고 속임으로 행하지 아니하며 하나님의 말씀을 혼잡하게 하지 아니하고 오직 진리를 나타냄으로 하나님 앞에서 각 사람의 양심에 대하여 스스로 추천하노라” (고후 4:2)
진리를 말하는 것과 진리를 나타내는 것에는 차이가 있습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절은 어떤 문제나 주제에 대해 진실되게 말하는 것을 뜻하는 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 말씀을 살아내는 것에 대해 말합니다. 말씀은 진리이기 때문입니다(요 17:17).
그러므로 진리의 나타남은 곧 말씀의 나타남입니다. 말씀은 당신 안에서 그리고 당신을 통해 나타납니다. 바로 당신의 삶이 살아있는 성경이 되어 다른 사람들이 당신 안에서 하나님의 말씀을 읽을 수 있을 때입니다. 그것이 기독교입니다! 말씀 안에서, 말씀으로, 말씀을 통해 사는 삶입니다.
우리는 말씀의 자손입니다. 베드로전서 1장 23절은 말합니다. “너희가 거듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 항상 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라” 당신은 말씀으로 태어났고, 따라서 말씀을 나타내도록 부름 받았습니다. 당신의 삶은 하나님의 말씀을 드러내는 삶입니다. 야고보서 1장 18절은 말합니다. “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라”
이는 성령께서 사도 바울을 통해 우리가 그리스도의 편지라고 선포하신 이유를 이해하는 데 도움이 됩니다. “너희는 우리로 말미암아 나타난 그리스도의 편지니 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며 또 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의 마음판에 쓴 것이라”(고후 3:3)
주 예수님이 이 땅에서 행하신 모든 발걸음은 하나님의 말씀이 행동으로 나타난 것이었습니다. 예수님은 살아있고, 활동적이며, 성육신한 말씀이십니다. “말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매…”(요 1:14) 요한일서 4장17절은 말합니다. “…주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라” 당신은 오늘 살아있고, 걷고, 말하고, 사람들에게 축복을 주는 말씀입니다. 이런 의식을 가지십시오. 하나님께서 당신에게 살라고 부르신 삶을 사십시오. 당신 안에 표현된 그분의 말씀의 삶을 사십시오.
고백
사랑하는 아버지, 말씀이 내 안에 살아있고 나를 통해 나타나게 하시니 감사드립니다. 내 삶은 진리의 표현이며, 사람들에게 읽히는 살아있는 편지입니다. 나는 오늘날 살아있는 말씀이라는 인식을 가지고 행하며, 내 세상의 모든 사람들에게 축복, 계시, 의를 가져옵니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE WORD EXPRESSED IN YOU
“But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God” (2 Corinthians 4:2).
There’s a difference between telling the truth and the manifestation of the truth. Our opening scripture isn’t talking about merely being truthful about a matter or subject; rather, it’s about living the Word, for the Word is truth (John 17:17).
The manifestation of truth, therefore, is the manifestation of the Word; the Word expressed in and through you. It’s when your life becomes a living Bible, so much so that others can literally read the Word of God in you. That’s Christianity! It’s life in the Word, by the Word and through the Word.
We’re the offspring of the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” You’re born of the Word and therefore are called to express the Word. Your life is the unveiling of the Word of God. James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18).
This should further help you understand why the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, declares that we’re the epistles of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3).
Every step the Lord Jesus took when He walked the earth was the Word of God in action. He’s the living, active, incarnate Word: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). 1 John 4:17 says, “…as he is, so are we in this world….” You’re the Word alive today, walking, talking and blessing lives. Have this consciousness. Live the life God has called you to live; the manifestation of the truth.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you that your Word lives in me and is expressed through me. My life is a manifestation of truth, a living epistle read by men. I walk in the consciousness that I am the Word alive today, bringing blessing, illumination, and righteousness to all in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
