예수님의 주되심에 대한 참된 순종
True Submission To The Lordship Of Jesus
“그런즉 너희는 하나님께 복종할지어다 마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라” (약 4:7)
당신이 예수 이름의 주권에 대한 진정한 순종을 이해하기 전까지는 당신이 직면한 상황과 도전이 바뀌지 않을 수도 있습니다. 이것은 몇몇 그리스도인들의 삶에서 빠진 부분입니다. 그들은 “나는 기도하고 금식했지만 내 삶에 하나님의 능력은 나타나지 않습니다. 내가 더 해야 할 일이 있습니까?” 라고 말합니다. 마태복음 17장의 예를 들어보겠습니다.
성경은 한 사람이 주 예수님께 다가가 무릎을 꿇고 귀신으로 고통받는 아들을 위해 간구한 이야기를 알려줍니다(마 17:14-16). 주님은 이렇게 대답하셨습니다. “믿음이 없고 패역한 세대여 내가 얼마나 너희와 함께 있으며 얼마나 너희에게 참으리요 그를 이리로 데려오라 하시니라 이에 예수께서 꾸짖으시니 귀신이 나가고 아이가 그 때부터 나으니라”(마 17:17-18)
제자들은 귀신을 쫓아내고 병든 자를 고치는 권세를 받았습니다(마 10:1). 그래서 그들은 소년에게서 귀신을 쫓아내지 못한 것에 대해 당황했습니다. 예수님께서 귀신을 성공적으로 쫓아내시는 것을 목격한 후, 그들은 좌절하여 왜 자신들은 할 수 없었는지 예수님께 따로 여쭤보았습니다.
그러자 주님께서 설명하셨습니다. “이르시되 너희 믿음이 작은 까닭이니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라”(마 17:20) 주님의 말씀을 주목하십시오. 그분의 말씀은 참된 기도와 금식의 본질에 대한 중요한 내용을 드러냅니다.
안타깝게도 많은 사람이 이 부분을 놓칩니다. 그들은 귀신을 쫓아내는 더 큰 능력을 얻기 위해 금식하지만, 금식의 목적은 그것이 아닙니다. 기도와 금식이 당신을 위해 할 수 있는 일 중 하나는 당신이 예수님의 주되심에 더 순종하도록 돕는 것입니다. 당신이 주님께 더 많이 자신을 내어드릴수록 주님의 능력이 당신을 통해 더 많이 흘러갑니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 말씀의 계시에 감사드립니다. 나는 예수님의 주되심에 나 자신을 온전히 내어드립니다. 주님이 나의 충분함이자 힘이심을 인식합니다. 주님의 능력과 은혜가 나를 통해 흘러 아픈 사람들을 치유하고, 귀신을 쫓아내고, 죽은 자를 살리고, 복음 안에서 위대한 일을 행합니다. 주 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

TRUE SUBMISSION TO THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7)
Some situations and challenges you face may not change until you understand true submission to the lordship of the Name of Jesus. It’s a missing link in the lives of some Christians. They say, “I’ve prayed and fasted, but the power of God in my life seems elusive. What more do I need to do?” I’ll give you an example in Matthew 17.
The Bible tells us how a man approached the Lord Jesus, kneeling before Him, and pleading for his son who was tormented by a demon (Matthew 17:14-16). The Lord responded with these words: “…O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me. And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour” (Matthew 17:17-18 NKJV).
The disciples had been given authority to cast out demons and heal the sick (Matthew 10:1), which made their inability to cast out the demon from the boy perplexing to them. After witnessing how Jesus successfully cast out the demon, in their frustration, they asked Him privately why they couldn’t do it themselves.
Then the Master explained, “…Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:20-21). Notice His words; they reveal something important about the essence of true prayer and fasting.
Sadly, this is where many people miss it; they fast for more power to cast out devils, but that’s not the idea here. One of the things that prayer and fasting does for you is to get you more submissive to the Lordship of Jesus. The more you yield yourself to Him, the more His power flows through you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of your Word. I submit myself wholly to your Lordship, acknowledging that you are my sufficiency and strength. Your power and grace flow through me unhindered to heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, and do mighty works in the Gospel, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
