Serve The Lord Steadfastly And With Joy
“그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라” (고전 15:58)
그리스도인의 삶은 게임이 아닙니다. 그리스도인의 삶은 진지하며 영적인 원리들에 기초합니다. 우리는 실제로 영적인 삶을 살고 있습니다. 교회의 휴거는 그 어느 때보다 가까워졌습니다. 그러므로 당신은 날마다 순전한 마음을 일깨우고, 자신을 점검하고, 그리스도인으로서 말씀이 말하는 대로 살고 있는지 확인해야 합니다.
말씀에 집중하십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “…우로나 좌로나 치우치지 말라 그리하면 어디로 가든지 형통하리니”(수 1:7). 말씀이 당신의 마음과 영, 생각과 의견을 다스리게 하십시오. 성경은 말씀이 당신 발에 등이요 당신 길에 빛이라고 말합니다(시 119:105). 어두운 골목길을 걸을 때는 등불을 켜서 길을 밝힙니다. 바로 그것이 말씀입니다. 말씀은 당신에게 생명의 길을 보여주고 당신이 의의 길에 있게 합니다.
데살로니가후서 2:3은 “…먼저 배교하는 일이 있고 저 불법의 사람 곧 멸망의 아들이 나타나기 전에는 그 날이 이르지 아니하리니”라고 경고합니다. 그리고 주님은 마태복음 24:12에서 말씀하셨습니다. “불법이 성하므로 많은 사람의 사랑이 식어지리라.” 그러므로 주님을 향한 사랑을 뜨겁게 유지하십시오. 그 무엇도 당신의 믿음과 영적인 일들에 대한 열정을 약화시키지 못하게 하십시오.
주님을 진정으로 사랑하고 그분을 바르게 섬기는 사람들과 그렇지 않은 사람들 사이에는 차이가 있어야 합니다. 스스로를 살펴보십시오. 당신의 마음을 살피십시오. 당신의 영을 보호하십시오. 사랑 안에서 행하십시오. 이는 주님께서 요한복음 13:35에서 “너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라”고 말씀하셨기 때문입니다.
그리스도인의 삶은 여정입니다. 하루하루가 사랑 안에서 행하는 새로운 날입니다. 주님을 기쁘게 섬기는 새로운 날입니다. 주님께서 빛 가운데 계신 것 같이 빛 가운데 행하는 새로운 날입니다(요일 1:7). 의의 열매를 맺고 의의 일을 나타내는 새로운 날입니다. 그러므로 주님을 변함없이 기쁨으로 섬기며 하루하루를 의미 있게 만드십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 주님을 알고 섬길 수 있는 영광과 주님의 이름으로 불리는 특권과 축복에 감사드립니다. 나는 주님의 일에 항상 넘치도록 충성하며, 흔들리지 않고, 열정적이고, 확고하게 서 있습니다. 내가 기쁨, 열정, 목적이 가득한 마음으로 주님을 섬길 때, 주님을 향한 나의 사랑은 점점 더 커집니다. 나는 이 마지막 때에 더욱 밝게 빛나며, 주님의 영광을 드러내고, 주님의 의를 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SERVE THE LORD STEADFASTLY AND WITH JOY
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Our Christian life is not a game; it’s serious, and it’s based on spiritual principles. It’s a spiritual life that we’re actually living. The rapture of the Church is nearer today than ever before. Therefore, every day, you must stir up your pure mind, examine yourself and make sure your life as a Christian is as the Word says.
Stay focused on the Word. The Bible says, “…turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:7). Let the Word have dominion over your mind and over your spirit, over your thoughts and opinions. The Bible says the Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). When journeying through a dark alley, you use a lamp to illuminate your path. That’s the Word; it shows you the path of life and keeps you in the way of righteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 warns, “…for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first….” Then in Matthew 24:12, the Master said, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” So, remain fervent in your love for the Lord. Let nothing dissipate your faith and zeal for spiritual things.
There’ll have to be a difference between those who truly love the Lord and are serving Him rightly and those who aren’t. You need to watch yourself. Watch your heart. Protect your spirit. Walk in love, for He said in John 13:35, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
The Christian life is a journey. Every day is a new day to walk in love. Every day is a fresh day to serve the Lord joyfully. Every day is a new day to walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7). Every day is a new day to bear fruits of righteousness and manifest works of righteousness. So make every day count by serving the Lord steadfastly and with joy.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the honour of knowing and serving you, and for the privilege and blessing to be called by your Name. I remain steadfast, fervent, and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. My love for you is ever-increasing as I serve you with a joyful heart, full of passion and purpose. I shine ever brightly in these last days, revealing your glory and manifesting your righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
