Focus On Your Divine Purpose
“무슨 일을 하든지 마음을 다하여 주께 하듯 하고 사람에게 하듯 하지 말라 이는 기업의 상을 주께 받을 줄 아나니 너희는 주 그리스도를 섬기느니라”(골 3:23-24)
많은 사람이 자신이 산만해지도록 내버려둡니다. 그들은 삶의 바쁨, 사소한 걱정, 세상적인 추구에 휘말립니다. 스스로 깨닫기도 전에 그들은 하나님의 신성한 목적에서 벗어나게 됩니다. 산만함은 당신이 진정으로 중요한 것을 놓치게 만듭니다. 그것은 당신을 하나님께서 주신 임무에서 멀어지게 합니다. 그러므로 깨어 있으십시오. 산만해지는 것을 거절하십시오.
하나님께서는 당신이 해야 할 구체적인 일을 계획하셨습니다. 당신의 이름이 적힌 신성한 임무가 있습니다. 만일 그것을 소홀히 한다면, 당신은 하나님께 설명해야 할 것입니다. 그러므로 당신의 목적에 집중하십시오. 주 예수님께서는 “나의 양식은 나를 보내신 이의 뜻을 행하며 그의 일을 온전히 이루는 이것이니라”(요 4:34)고 말씀하셨습니다. “때가 아직 낮이매 나를 보내신 이의 일을 우리가 하여야 하리라 밤이 오리니 그때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라”(요 9:4)
당신은 아버지의 일을 하고 있습니까? 당신의 목표가 자신의 임무를 완수하고 복음 안에서 사역을 성취하는 것입니까? 사도 바울은 주 예수님과 같은 사고방식을 가지고 있었습니다. 그는 모든 형태의 방해를 거절하고 자신의 임무에 집중했습니다. 바울은 빌립보서 3:13-14에서 “… 오직 한 일 즉 뒤에 있는 것은 잊어버리고 앞에 있는 것을 잡으려고 푯대를 향하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님이 위에서 부르신 부름의 상을 위하여 달려가노라”고 말했습니다.
히브리서 12:1에서 바울은 그의 삶의 특징이었던 중요한 권면을 주었습니다. “… 모든 무거운 것과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고 인내로써 우리 앞에 당한 경주를 하며” 그리고 그는 “나는 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니”(딤후 4:7)라고 말했습니다. 이것이 진정 중요한 일입니다.
당신의 신성한 목적과 책임을 인식하십시오. 하나님께서 당신에게 맡기신 일에 충성되고 부지런하십시오. 우리는 온 세상에 복음을 전파하라는 분명한 임무를 받았습니다. 당신은 이 일에서 자신의 역할을 가지고 있습니다. 목표에 시선을 고정하고 인내로 경주를 달리며 기쁨으로 당신의 경주를 마치십시오. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 주신 신성한 임무에 감사드립니다. 나는 사람, 상황, 환경에 주의를 빼앗기지 않습니다. 나는 내 삶을 향한 하나님의 목적을 성취하는 데 내 마음과 에너지를 집중합니다. 나는 결단력 있게 경주를 달리고, 기쁨으로 내 길을 마치며, 하나님의 이름에 영광을 드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

FOCUS ON YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23–24).
A lot of people allow themselves to be distracted. They get caught up in the busyness of life, petty worries, and worldly pursuits. Before they realize it, they’ve veered off course from God’s divine purpose. Distractions can cause you to lose sight of what truly matters. They pull you away from your God-given assignment. So, stay alert and refuse to be distracted.
God has planned a specific work for you to do. There’s a divine assignment with your name on it. If you neglect it, you will have to give account to Him. So stay focused on your purpose. The Lord Jesus said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:34). “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4).
Are you about the Father’s work? Is it your goal to finish your assignment, to fulfil your ministry in the Gospel? The Apostle Paul had the same mindset as the Lord Jesus; he refused every form of distraction and stayed focused on His assignment. In Philippians 3:13-14, he said, “…this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
In Hebrews 12:1, he gave an important admonition which, apparently, was a hallmark of his own life. He said, “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” At the end, he said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). That’s what truly matters.
Be mindful of your divine purpose and responsibilities. Be faithful and diligent in the things God has asked you to do. We have a clear mandate to complete the full preaching of the Gospel to the whole world. You have a role in this. Set your eyes on the goal, run your race with perseverance, and finish your course with joy. Praise God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the divine assignment you’ve given me. I refuse to be distracted by people, situations, or circumstances. I focus my heart and energy on fulfilling your purpose for my life. I run my race with determination and finish my course with joy, bringing glory to your Name, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
