성경의 위로
The Comfort Of The Scriptures
“무엇이든지 전에 기록된 바는 우리의 교훈을 위하여 기록된 것이니 우리로 하여금 인내로 또는 성경의 위로로 소망을 가지게 함이니라”(롬 15:4)
하나님은 우리를 너무나도 사랑하셔서 우리에게 성경을 주셨습니다. 성경을 개인적인 문서로 주셨고, 성경의 위로를 통해 우리가 소망을 갖게 하셨습니다.
그래서 저는 성경을 반복해서 공부하는 것을 좋아합니다. 공부할 때마다 방향을 찾고, 믿음을 받고, 소망으로 가득 차고, 미래를 큰 기대감으로 바라봅니다. 세상에서 무슨 일이 일어나든지 저는 말씀에 집중합니다. 성경의 위로를 통해 소망을 얻기 때문에 저는 단단한 마음을 갖습니다.
성경은 저에게 살아있는 그리스도의 음성이 되었습니다. 예를 들어, “내 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크시다”고 말할 때, 저는 단순히 성경 구절을 인용하는 것이 아닙니다. 하나님께서 제 여정을 위해 주신 살아있는 음성에 반응하는 것입니다. 하나님은 우리가 날마다 그분을 육안으로 볼 수 없다는 것을 아십니다. 우리가 대면하는 압박과 그분이 눈에 보이도록 나타나기를 바라는 순간들을 아십니다. 그러나 그분은 우리에게 그보다 더 신뢰할 수 있는 그분의 말씀을 주셨습니다.
하나님은 당신이 그분의 말씀을 의지하기 원하십니다. 말씀은 결코 실패하지 않기 때문입니다. 이사야 55:11은 말합니다. “내 입에서 나가는 말도 이와 같이 헛되이 내게로 되돌아오지 아니하고 나의 기뻐하는 뜻을 이루며 내가 보낸 일에 형통하리라” 그리고 마태복음 24:35에서 주 예수님은 “천지는 없어질지언정 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라”고 말씀하셨습니다.
이는 하나님의 말씀이 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 기초임을 보여줍니다. 여호수아 21:45이 말하는 것처럼 하나님께서 하신 말씀 중 단 하나도 실패한 적이 없으며 실패할 수도 없습니다. “여호와께서 이스라엘 족속에게 말씀하신 선한 말씀이 하나도 남음이 없이 다 응하였더라”
더 나아가 성경은 당신이 삶의 일들을 지혜롭게 처리할 수 있도록 힘을 줍니다(수 1:8). 그래서 우리는 말씀 묵상을 강조합니다. 당신의 삶에서 되는 모든 것은 말씀에 달려 있습니다. 그러므로 말씀 안에 거하십시오. 말씀으로 사십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 인도하고, 영감을 주고, 강건케 하는 하나님의 살아있는 말씀인 성경의 축복에 감사드립니다. 성경의 위로를 통해 나는 소망을 가지고 있습니다. 나는 지혜와 믿음과 영광스러운 미래에 대한 담대한 기대 가운데 걷습니다. 말씀은 나의 매일의 빛이며, 나는 말씀의 진리로 살아갑니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE COMFORT OF THE SCRIPTURES
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
God cared so much about us that He gave us the Holy Scriptures, as a personal document and sent it to us so that, through the comfort of the Scriptures, we might have hope.
That’s why I love to study the Bible again and again. As I study, I find direction. I receive faith. I’m filled with hope. I look at the future with great expectation. No matter what’s happening in the world, I’m focused on the Word. I set my face like a flint because I have hope through the comfort of the Scriptures.
The Bible has become for me a living thing, the living voice of Christ. For example, whenever I say, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world,” I’m not just quoting a verse. I’m responding to a living voice that God gave me for my journey. He knows we don’t see Him physically every day. He knows the pressures we deal with and the times we wish He would visibly show up. But He gave us something even more dependable—His Word.
He wants you to rely on His Word, for it never fails. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Then in Matthew 24:35, the Lord Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
This shows that God’s Word is the most dependable foundation. Not one word from Him has ever failed or could ever fail as Joshua 21:45 affirms, “Not one word of all the good promises which the Lord had made unto the house of Israel failed; all came to pass.”
Furthermore, the Scriptures empower you to deal wisely in the affairs of life (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). That’s why we emphasize meditating on the Word. Everything you’d ever be in your life is wrapped up in the Word. So, stay on the Word. Live by the Word.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing of the Scriptures, your living Word that guides, inspires, and strengthens me. Through the comfort of the scriptures, I have hope. I walk in wisdom, faith, and bold expectation of a glorious future. Your Word is my daily light, and I live by its truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
