Built To Last, Designed For Glory
“또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”(마 16:18)
예수 그리스도의 교회는 약하거나 부서지기 쉬운 존재가 아닙니다. 교회는 파괴될 수 없습니다. 교회는 생존하기 위해 애쓰는 조직이 아닙니다. 교회는 주 예수님께서 친히 세우신 신성한 기관입니다. 예수님은 “내가 내 교회를 세우리니”라고 선포하셨고, 그분이 세우신 것은 영원하고, 강력하고, 영광스럽습니다. 당신은 방관자가 아닌 산 돌로서 그분의 교회의 일부입니다(벧전 2:5).
이는 당신이 하나님의 영광을 나타내고 그분의 목적을 성취하도록 그리스도의 몸 안에서 하나님에 의해 선택되고, 만들어지고, 배치되었다는 것을 의미합니다. 당신은 실수로 만들어진 것이 아닙니다. 당신은 지속되도록 지어졌고 빛나도록 설계되었습니다. 당신은 실패할 수 있는 무언가의 일부가 아닙니다. 교회는 이 세상의 체계나 구조에 속하지 않습니다. 우리는 하늘의 원리로 기능합니다. 우리는 성령의 능력으로 말미암고, 말씀으로 다스려집니다.
그렇기 때문에 핍박, 반대, 역경은 우리를 파괴할 수 없습니다. 오히려 우리는 더 강해지고, 활기차고, 영향력 있는 사람이 됩니다. 야고보서 1:2은 말합니다. “내 형제들아 너희가 여러 가지 시험을 당하거든 온전히 기쁘게 여기라” 로마서 8:35은 환난이나 곤고나 박해나 기근이나 적신이나 위험이나 그 무엇도 우리를 이길 수 없다고 말합니다.
이어서 로마서 8:37-39은 말합니다. “그러나 이 모든 일에 우리를 사랑하시는 이로 말미암아 우리가 넉넉히 이기느니라 내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나 천사들이나 권세자들이나 현재 일이나 장래 일이나 능력이나 높음이나 깊음이나 다른 어떤 피조물이라도 우리를 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 끊을 수 없으리라” 지옥의 문, 어둠의 전략이나 구조나 시스템은 결코 교회를 이길 수 없습니다. 우리는 정복자보다 더 나은 자입니다.
우리는 사탄을 그가 있어야 할 곳, 곧 우리의 발 아래 두었습니다. 우리는 다스리고 있습니다. 우리는 통치하고 있습니다. 우리는 그리스도와 함께 한 공동 상속자이며, 하나님과 같은 종류의 존재이며, 영원한 탁월함의 그릇입니다. 우리는 멈출 수 없습니다. 하나님의 영광이 우리 안에서, 우리를 통해 나타납니다. 이것이 바로 오늘날 예수 그리스도의 교회입니다. 교회는 영원히 지속되도록 세워졌고, 영광을 위해 설계되었습니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 예수 그리스도의 영광스러운 교회의 산 돌로 삼아 주시니 감사합니다. 그 교회는 영원히 지속되도록 지어졌고, 영광을 위해 설계되었습니다. 하나님의 뜻을 행하고 이 땅에서 하나님의 영광을 나타내도록 우리에게 주신 권세에 감사드립니다. 오늘날 전 세계에 있는 하나님의 자녀들은 복음을 선포하며 능력과 목적과 승리 가운데 행합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BUILT TO LAST, DESIGNED FOR GLORY
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).
The Church of Jesus Christ is not weak or fragile; it’s indestructible. It’s not an organization trying to survive; it is a divine institution built by the Lord Jesus Himself. He declared, “I will build my church,” and what He builds is eternal, powerful, and glorious. You’re a part of His Church, not as a bystander, but as a living stone (1 Peter 2:5).
That means you were chosen, shaped, and placed by God in the Body of Christ to reflect His glory and fulfil His purpose. You’re not a mistake. You’re built to last and designed to shine. You’re not a part of something that can fail. The Church is not subject to the systems or structures of this world. We operate heavenly principles. We’re powered by the Holy Spirit and governed by the Word.
That’s why persecution, opposition, or adversity cannot destroy us. Instead, we grow stronger, more vibrant, and more impactful. James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” Romans 8:35 tells us that there’s no amount of tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, perils or suffering that can prevail against us.
Then from verses 37-39, it says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The gates of hell, the strategies, structures and systems of darkness will never prevail against the Church. We’re more than conquerors.
We have Satan where He belongs: under our feet. We’re in dominion. We’re reigning. We’re joint-heirs with Christ, associates of the God-kind, vessels of eternal excellence. We’re unstoppable. The glory of God is revealed in and through us. That’s the Church of Jesus Christ today: built to last, designed for glory.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me a living stone in the glorious Church of Jesus Christ—built to last and designed for glory. Thank you for the authority you’ve granted us to execute your will and manifest your glory in the earth. Today, your children, all over the world, walk in power, purpose, and victory as they proclaim the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
