편리함의 문제가 아닙니다
It’s Not A Matter Of Convenience
“모이기를 폐하는 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 하지 말고 오직 권하여 그 날이 가까움을 볼수록 더욱 그리하자”(히 10:25)
성경은 우리가 교회 예배에 직접 참석하는 것을 매우 중요하게 생각하라고 강력하게 명합니다. 이 권면을 따르지 않는 사람들은 잘못된 길을 가고 있는 것이며 본받을 만한 사람이 아닙니다. 많은 사람들이 온라인으로 예배에 참석하는 것에 익숙해져 온라인 교회 모임의 원래 목적을 잊었습니다. 온라인 예배는 당신이 교회에 있어야 할 때 교회에 직접 참석하는 것을 대체하기 위한 것이 아닙니다.
교회 예배를 위한 온라인 플랫폼은 편의성을 위한 것이 아니라, 즉시 통제할 수 없는 상황으로 인해 직접 참석할 수 없는 사람들을 위한 필수적인 조치입니다. 단순히 교회에 가고 싶지 않은 사람들을 위한 것이 아니라, 어떤 이유로든 진정 갈 수 없는 사람들을 위한 것입니다.
따라서 교회에 갈 수 있을 때마다 반드시 가야 합니다. 사업이나 다른 이유로 집 근처 교회가 있는 곳을 떠나 교회가 없는 마을이나 도시로 여행을 간다면, 당신이 온라인으로 집 근처 교회 예배에 참석하는 것은 이해할 수 있습니다.
하지만 그곳에 당신의 교회 지부가 있다면 가서 자신을 소개하고 그곳의 그리스도인들과 교제해야 합니다. 목회자들은 성도들이 온라인에 접속하는 것보다 자신이 여행하는 도시의 교회에 참석하도록 권면해야 합니다. 그 지역에 교회가 있음에도 불구하고 성도들에게 온라인으로만 접속하라고 말하는 것은 올바른 접근 방식이 아닙니다. 가장 가까운 교회가 너무 멀리 있다면 이해할 수 있습니다.
하지만 이런 경우에도 우리는 새로운 교회를 세우는 일에 적극적이어야 합니다. 많은 교회들의 새로운 지부는 그 교회의 지부가 없는 도시를 방문한 성도들이 지부를 세우면서 시작되었습니다. 그들이나 다른 사람들이 그 지역을 다시 방문했을 때는 이미 교회가 세워져 있었습니다.
우리는 안주해서 온라인을 편리한 도구로 바꾸어서는 안 됩니다. 그리스도인들의 교제는 필수적이며, 가능한 한 모든 그리스도인은 예배에 참석해야 합니다.
고백
나는 다른 그리스도인들과 함께 모이는 것을 소홀히 하지 않겠습니다. 우리의 모임에서 은혜, 힘, 지혜가 나눠지기 때문입니다. 나는 지혜 안에서 행하고, 주님께서 그분의 교회에 세우신 구조와 질서를 존중합니다. 그러면 내 삶에서 하나님의 축복의 나타남이 증가합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

IT’S NOT A MATTER OF CONVENIENCE
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).
The Bible strongly enjoins that we take our physical presence, our onsite attendance in church services, very seriously. Those who don’t heed this admonition are in error and not to be emulated. Many have become so used to participating in services online and have lost sight of the original purpose of online church meetings; they’re not meant to replace your physical presence in the church at the times you’re supposed to be there.
The provision of online platforms for church services was never intended to be a matter of convenience but a necessity for those who, due to circumstances that may be beyond their immediate control, are unable to attend in person. It is not meant for those who simply do not “feel” like going to church, but for those who truly can’t for one reason or the other.
Therefore, whenever you’re able to be physically present in church, you must go. If you travel out of the location where your home church is, perhaps for business or for other reasons, if there’s no church in the town or city you travelled to, then it’s understandable to join your home church service online.
But if there’s a branch of your church there, you should go and introduce yourself, and join the Christians there in fellowship. Pastors should encourage their members to attend the church in the city they travel to rather than simply logging in online. Telling members to only connect online when a local church is available is not the right approach. If the nearest church is too far, that is understandable.
But even in such cases, we should be proactive in establishing new churches. Many new branches for many churches began because members, upon finding no existing branch of their church in a city they travelled to, started one. The next time they or others visited that location, a church was now in place.
We must not become complacent and turn the online solution into a tool of convenience. The gathering of Christians in fellowship is vital, and whenever possible, every Christian should be physically present in church.
CONFESSION
I refuse to neglect the assembling of myself with other Christians, knowing that in our gathering, there is an impartation of grace, strength, and wisdom. I walk in wisdom, and as I honour the structure and order the Lord has set in His Church, there are increased manifestations of God’s blessings in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
