일을 할 때 역량이 자랍니다
We Build Capacity While Doing The Work
“너희는 넉 달이 지나야 추수할 때가 이르겠다고 말하지 아니하느냐 그러나 내가 너희에게 이르노니 너희 눈을 들어 밭을 보라 희어져 추수하게 되었도다”(요 4:35)
어떤 사람들은 영혼 구원에서 효과적이기 위해서는 먼저 고립되어 역량을 키워야 한다고 생각합니다. 그러나 진리는 영혼 구원에 관해서는 일을 하면서 역량을 키운다는 것입니다.
주님은 “먼저 역량을 키운 다음에 온 세상에 가서 모든 피조물에게 복음을 전파하라”고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 그분은 “너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막 16:15)고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 마태복음 28:19-20에서 그분은 “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아…”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 먼저 역량을 키우라고 말씀하지 않으셨습니다.
이미 당신에게 진정한 능력의 근원이신 성령님이 계십니다. 성령님이 당신 안에 계시므로 당신은 효과적인 전도를 위한 능력을 가지고 있습니다. 그분은 당신을 효과적인 영혼 구원자로 만들기 위해 당신 안에 오셨습니다. “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라”(행 1:8)
영혼 구원은 시작하기 전에 또 다른 “특별한” 준비가 필요한 일이 아닙니다. 고린도후서 3:5-6은 말합니다. “우리는 어떤 일이라도 우리에게서 난 것같이 생각하여 스스로 만족하지 않는 것은 우리의 만족이 하나님께로부터 난 것이기 때문이라. 또한 그분은 우리로 새 언약의 능력있는 일꾼이 되게 하셨는데…”(한글 킹제임스) 이 구절에 대해 생각해 보십시오! 성령님께서 이미 당신을 새 언약의 유능한 일꾼으로 만드셨습니다. 그분께서 이미 당신의 능력을 키우셨습니다. 당신이 해야 할 일은 그저 나아가는 것입니다.
당신이 더 많은 영혼을 구원할수록 주님은 당신이 더 많은 일을 할 수 있도록 은혜를 더하십니다. 그러므로 일을 하면서 더 큰 역량을 키우십시오. 이것이 우리가 믿음 안에서 성장하고 사역에서 더 큰 효과를 내는 방법입니다. 금식하고, 기도하고, 말씀을 공부하는 시간을 가지십시오. 이 모든 것은 영혼 구원과 전도를 향한 당신의 열정을 불태울 것입니다. 주님께서 다시 오실 때 당신이 부지런히 일하고 왕국의 메시지를 모든 곳에 전파하는 모습을 보게 하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 복음의 지혜와 긴급성에 감사드립니다. 나는 영혼을 구원할 때 더 큰 일들을 위해 강건해지고 준비됩니다. 나는 복음 안에서 수고하며 역량을 키우고, 하나님의 부르심을 성취하는 데 효과적입니다. 나를 하나님의 왕국에서 열매 맺는 일꾼으로 만들어 주시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

WE BUILD CAPACITY WHILE DOING THE WORK
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” (John 4:35).
Some people think that before you can become effective in soul winning you must first withdraw into isolation to build capacity. But the truth is, when it comes to soul winning, we build capacity while doing the work.
The Lord didn’t say, “Build capacity first, then go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature”; no! Rather, He said straight on, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Also in Matthew 28:19-20, He said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations….” He didn’t say build capacity first.
That’s because you already have the Holy Spirit who is the real capacity builder. With Him living inside you, you have the required capacity for effective evangelism. He came into you to make you an effective soul winner: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
Soul winning isn’t something for which you need another “extraordinary” preparation before you begin. 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament….” Think about that! The Holy Spirit has already made you an able minister of the New Testament. He’s already built your capacity; all you have to do is launch out.
The more you win souls the more He increases His grace upon you to do more. So, build greater capacity as you do the work. This is how we grow in faith and develop greater effectiveness in ministry. Take time always to fast, pray, and study the Word; all these will fuel your passion for soul winning and evangelism. Let the Master return to find you diligently working, spreading the message of the Kingdom everywhere.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom and urgency of the Gospel. I declare that as I win souls, I am strengthened and equipped for greater works. I build capacity as I labour in the Gospel, and I am effective in fulfilling your call. Thank you for making me a fruitful labourer in your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
