우리의 기회는 지금입니다
Our Opportunity Is Now
“때가 낮일 동안에 나는 나를 보내신 분의 일들을 행하여야 하리라. 밤이 오면 그때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라.”(요 9:4, 한글 킹제임스)
휴거 이후에 주님을 섬길 기회가 더 있을 것이라고 잘못 믿는 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그러나 이는 잘못된 생각입니다. 성경에 따르면 천년 왕국, 즉 천년 간의 평화는 우리를 위한 것이 아닙니다. 이스라엘을 위해 하나님께서 정하신 시간입니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘에게 평화의 시간을 약속하셨고, 그들은 반드시 그 시간을 누릴 것입니다.
2,000년 동안 중단되었던 유대력은 천년 왕국으로 이어지는 마지막 7년의 기간 동안 다시 시작될 것입니다. 그 후 예수님께서 하늘로부터 다시 오셔서 예루살렘에 그분의 본부를 세우시고, 유대인의 왕뿐만 아니라 온 세상의 왕으로서 다스리실 것입니다. 다윗도 이스라엘을 다스리기 위해 돌아올 것이며, 예수님은 온 세상을 다스리실 것입니다.
우리는 예수님과 함께 다스리며 모든 것이 원활하게 운영되게 할 것입니다. 따라서 우리의 사역은 천년 왕국 동안에는 운영되지 않습니다. 오히려 그때 우리의 섬김은 주 예수 그리스도를 향할 것입니다. 천년 왕국 동안 우리의 역할은 천사들의 임무를 수행하는 것입니다.
천년 왕국 동안의 사역자들은 주로 유대인들이 될 것입니다. 그들은 지난 2,000년 동안 우리가 해왔던 것처럼 그들의 나라에 대한 예언과 약속을 성취할 것입니다. 우리는 예수님과 함께 천사들의 역할을 하며 천사마저 심판하는 위대한 심판을 준비하는 장엄한 시간을 보낼 것입니다.
그 후 우리는 거룩한 도성으로 들어가 새 땅에 거할 것입니다. 하나님께 영광을 드립니다! 이것이 바로 우리가 이 땅에서 우리의 부르심을 이루는 것에 긴박감과 책임감을 가져야 하는 이유입니다. 지금이 우리의 신성한 사역을 수행할 기회입니다. 데살로니가전서 4:16-17에서 밝히듯이 나팔 소리가 나고 우리가 이곳에서 공중으로 주님을 만나러 올라간 후에는 이 땅에서의 사역과 섬김의 기회는 끝날 것입니다.
저는 오늘 당신에게 기회가 있을 때 목적과 부르심을 성취하는 일에 부지런하고 신실할 것을 권면합니다. 사도 바울처럼 생각하십시오. 그는 이렇게 말했습니다. “내가 복음을 전할지라도 자랑할 것이 없음은 내가 부득불 할 일임이라 만일 복음을 전하지 아니하면 내게 화가 있을 것이로다”(고전 9:16) 당신의 영적 임무를 우선시 하십시오. 당신의 오늘의 행동이 영원한 의미와 보상을 가지고 있음을 아십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 영혼들을 그리스도께로 인도하는 일에 부지런하고 충성스럽게 일할 수 있도록 내 안에 역사하는 은혜에 감사드립니다. 나는 복음이 구원에 이르는 하나님의 능력임을 확신합니다. 그러므로 나는 지금 주어진 기회를 활용하여 복음을 전 세계에 전파하는 일에 헌신합니다. 오늘날 복음이 전파되면서 많은 사람들이 죄에서 의로, 하나님의 아들의 영광스러운 자유로 옮겨집니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

OUR OPPORTUNITY IS NOW
“All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, because there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end” (John 9:4 NLT).
There are Christians who mistakenly believe they will have more opportunities to serve the Lord after the Rapture, but this notion is incorrect. According to the scriptures, the Millennial Kingdom, or the 1,000 years of peace, is not primarily about us. It’s a period ordained by God for Israel. God promised them that time of peace, and they’ll indeed receive it.
The Jewish calendar, suspended for 2,000 years, will resume for a final seven-year period leading into the Millennial reign. Following this, Jesus will return from heaven and set up His headquarters in Jerusalem, reigning not only as King of the Jews, but as King over the entire world. David will also return to reign over Israel, while Jesus reigns over the world.
We’ll be with Jesus, reigning with Him; ensuring everything runs smoothly. So, our ministry does not operate during the millennium; instead, our service at that time would be to the Lord Jesus Christ. Our role throughout the millennium will be to perform angelic duties.
The ministers during the Millennial Kingdom will predominantly be the Jews who’d be fulfilling prophecies and promises made to their nation, much as we have done over the past 2,000 years. While with Jesus, carrying out angelic functions, it’ll be a magnificent time in preparation for the great judgment, where we would even judge angels.
Afterwards, we will move into the holy city and inhabit the new earth. Glory be to God! This is why we must attach a sense of urgency and responsibility to fulfilling our calling here on earth. This is our window of opportunity to carry out our divine ministry. After the trumpet sounds and we’re caught up from here to meet the Lord in the air as the Bible reveals in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, the earthly opportunities for ministry and service will come to an end.
I urge you today to be diligent and faithful in fulfilling your purpose and calling while you still have the opportunity. Think like Paul the apostle, who said, “If I proclaim the Message, it’s not to get something out of it for myself. I’m compelled to do it, and doomed if I don’t” (1 Corinthians 9:16 MSG). Prioritize your spiritual assignments, knowing that your actions today carry eternal significance and rewards.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me to be diligent and faithful in leading souls to Christ. I’m convinced that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation; therefore, I’m committed to its spread around the world, taking advantage of the opportunity available now. Today, many are brought out of sin, into righteousness, and into the glorious liberty of the sons of God as the Gospel is preached around the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
