The Gospel Transforms Lives
“내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다”(롬 1:16)
예수 그리스도의 복음이 전파되고 사람들이 진정으로 믿을 때, 그들의 삶에 변화가 일어납니다. 예를 들어, 방황하던 사람이 진심으로 복음을 받아들인다면, 그 방황하는 삶은 끝이 날 것입니다. 그러나 반드시 마음을 새롭게 하는 일이 일어나야 합니다.
그리스도를 영접한 도둑도 마찬가지입니다. 그 사람도 변할 것입니다. 에베소서 4:28은 말합니다. “도둑질하는 자는 다시 도둑질하지 말고 돌이켜 가난한 자에게 구제할 수 있도록 자기 손으로 수고하여 선한 일을 하라”
마찬가지로 어떤 여성이 매춘에 종사했지만 이제 거듭났다면, 그녀의 몸은 성령의 전이 되었으므로 더 이상 그 삶을 지속할 수 없습니다. 그녀는 이제 하나님께 속했고, 자신의 몸과 영으로 하나님을 영화롭게 해야 하기 때문입니다. 에베소서 4:28에서 읽은 것처럼 그녀는 이제 정당한 직업을 찾아야 합니다. 그녀는 손으로 선한 일을 해야 하며, 매춘은 선한 일이 아닙니다.
더 나아가, 이런 사람들은 그리스도께 자신의 생명을 드렸을 때 어떤 일이 일어났는지 기억해야 합니다. 그들은 주 예수 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의로움을 받았습니다(고전 6:11).
따라서 참된 복음을 전파하는 것이 중요합니다. 복음은 사람들을 어둠에서 빛으로, 하나님의 아들들의 자유로 인도합니다. 복음은 사람들을 변화시키고, 일으키고, 구출합니다. 따라서 사람들은 지속적으로 복음을 상기해야 하고, 스스로 하나님의 말씀을 공부하도록 가르침과 격려를 받아야 하며, 그들의 영을 의와 그리스도 안에 있는 새로운 생명에 대해 더 알리고, 깨닫게 하고, 가르치는 말씀을 들어야 합니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 삶을 변화시키고 남성들과 여성들을 어둠에서 하나님의 놀라운 빛으로 옮기는 복음의 능력에 감사드립니다. 오늘 많은 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 들을 때, 그들은 진리와 성령의 자유 안에 세워집니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE GOSPEL TRANSFORMS LIVES
” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16).
When the Gospel of Jesus Christ is ministered and people truly believe, it produces a transformation in their lives. If for example, someone who’s been wayward genuinely receives the Gospel, that’ll be the end of the wayward lifestyle. However, there’s the renewing of the mind that must take place.
The same goes for someone who was a thief but has received Christ. The person will be transformed. Ephesians 4:28 says, “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.”
Likewise, if a lady used to engage in prostitution but she’s now born again, her body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit, meaning she can’t continue in that life because she now belongs to God and must glorify God in her body and in her spirit. She must now find a decent job, as we read in Ephesians 4:28. She has to work with her hands that which is good, and prostitution is not good.
Furthermore, such people must be reminded of what happened when they gave their lives to Christ; they were washed, sanctified, and justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11).
This is why it’s important to preach the true Gospel: it brings people out of darkness into light, into the liberty of the sons of God. It changes people. It lifts them. It delivers them. So, they need to constantly be reminded of this, and be taught and encouraged to study the Word of God for themselves and listen to messages that’ll further inform, enlighten and educate their spirits about righteousness and their new life in Christ.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power of the Gospel that transforms lives and delivers men and women from darkness into your marvellous light. As many hear your Word today, they’re established in the truth and in the liberty of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
